Fuzzy risk priority number assessment to detect midsole product defects

The quality of midsole products significantly impacts the quality, durability, and comfort users shoe manufactured by ABC company. high percentage average number product defects based on yield data for 12 months is 3.1% which exceeds required company 2%. There are six types in midsole: yellowing, porous, bubbles, broken, over left material trimming. Three from focus improvement Pareto concept, name type defect yellowing. Porous with a total 82.9%. This study aims to evaluate flaws production process using method that combines failure mode effect analysis (FMEA), fuzzy logic, diagram analysis. FMEA used manufacturing identify modes, their causes, effects. In contrast, logic methods input factors, such as occurrence (O), severity (S), detection (D), obtain risk priority (FRPN). assessment rule-based FRPN provides strong evidence proposed methodology logically useful prioritizing value RPN.
